Who we are

Read Build Succeed (“RBS”, “we”, “us”) is a podcast operated by H1 Holdings. We are the responsible party / data controller for the personal information described in this policy. Questions? Email rbs@h1holdings.co.za.

What we collect

Basic technical data. Like most websites, our host and any analytics we use may process standard server/usage data (such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed) to keep the site secure and understand traffic in aggregate.

How we use your information

We use aggregate technical data to operate, secure, and improve the site. We do not sell your personal information.

Legal basis & consent

We rely on legitimate interests to run, secure, and improve the website. Where we use analytics cookies, we do so only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time (see “Cookies” below).

Who we share it with

We share your information only with the trusted service providers that help us operate the podcast and website — such as our content, email, podcast-hosting, and website-hosting partners. They act on our instructions, process data only as needed to provide their service, and are bound by their own privacy and security terms. We do not sell your personal information.

Some of these providers may process data outside South Africa; where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those cross-border transfers.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies. Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them in our cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time. For details, see our Cookie Policy.

Data retention

We retain technical and analytics data only for as long as needed for the purposes described above, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

Your choices & rights

Under POPIA (South Africa) and, where applicable, the GDPR, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may object to or restrict its processing. To exercise any of these rights, email rbs@h1holdings.co.za. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the latest version.
